Desperate Housewives

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!"

Question: Got any Desperate Housewives scoop about Lynette and Tom? —Serena

Ausiello: This woman is about to turn their life upside down.

Smallville

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!"

Question: In light of Smallville not being renewed for the next season yet, I am feeling down! I need some juicy scoop to feel better! —Anibal

Ausiello: Two characters will soon discover each others’ secret identities.

Ugly Betty

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!"

Question: I am red hot mad with ABC over the offing of Ugly Betty! They are ending one of the best shows on television! What are the chances that it can be moved to another network? —Melissa

Ausiello: The chances are about zero to none. As far as I know, there’s no effort underway to find Betty a new home. On the bright side, I have some scoop for you: Aaron Tveit (a.k.a. Nate’s cuz and Serena’s ex from Gossip Girl) has been cast as a playwright who Betty goes on a date with in a late March episode. According to my Ugly insider, “The relationship starts great and ends horribly.” Not unlike every single episode of Saturday Night Live.

Question: How about another hint about who’s getting married in the Ugly Betty series finale? —Carol

Ausiello: It’s a heterosexual couple whose names rhyme with Silda and Cobby. In related news, the lovely, talented, and loose-lipped Ana Ortiz confirmed over the weekend that Hilda will marry Bobby in the Ugly Betty series finale.

Bones

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!"

Question: What will Booth’s new love interest mean for Booth and Brennan on Bones? —Ellouise

Ausiello: I don’t think there will be any long-term fallout, especially since Rena Sofer is only on board for one episode at this point. But in the short-term, the date will “cause a little turmoil” in their emotional lives, according to exec producer Stephen Nathan, who adds, “It’s nice to confuse Booth and Brennan every now and then. You don’t want the show to become predictable or complacent.” Nathan also points out that “Booth has really neglected his personal life. We wanted to see what it would be like for him to [briefly] explore a potential life with another person… and let him see what it’s like to just be a guy.”

Question: I do not like this whole Booth with a new love interest nonsense! Any hope for Booth/Brennan fans by the end of season 5? —Shorty

Ausiello: Exec producer Stephen Nathan hinted that Booth’s big date with Sofer’s Catherine — which is slated to air in the April 22 episode — will help move B&B “forward towards a bit of a change in their lives.” What does that mean exactly? Grrr. Let me come at this from a different angle: How does the date go? “I guess how the date goes depends on what you think of Booth and Bones and the show Bones. Some people are going to like it, some people are not going to like it.” Let me come at this from a different angle: Nah, I give up.

Question: Need some Bones scoop, please! —Amy

Ausiello: Cam’s getting a new love interest! “We have an episode coming up where Cam meets someone,” reveals Nathan, “and it complicates her relationship with her adopted daughter, Michelle.” Nathan adds that we’ll meet Cam’s suitor in “a very bizarre way.”

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'House,' 'Bones,' 'Grey's,' 'Burn Notice,' and more!"

Question: What’s going on with Katherine Heigl? Is she ever going to be returning to Grey’s Anatomy? —Hannah

Ausiello: Last I heard, she’s due back on the Grey’s set at the end of the month, which means we probably won’t see Izzie again until late April. Coincidentally, that’s right around the time a very special patient will be checking into Seattle Grace: Alex’s brother! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Grey’s is currently casting the role of Karev’s estranged sibling. For those keeping score at home, this will be our first time meeting a member of Karev’s troubled clan. Look for bro to dredge up a lot of ugly family history, including that nasty business about daddy beating mommy.

Question: What’s up with the Mercy West residents on Grey’s Anatomy? Will they be sticking around next season? —PT

Ausiello: I’m fairly certain one of them won’t be. A reliable source tells me that one of the four has received his/her walking papers and will exit the show before the end of the season.

Supernatural

From "Another Horseman Saddles Up to Supernatural"

Famine, step aside. Following the stomach-turning cannibalistic introduction of the third of of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse on last week's Supernatural, the just renewed CW hit is searching for a 40-50 year old man to play Pestilence. This latest Horseman is described as quirky, unassuming and highly intelligent. Oh, he's also a bit neurotic and has a..a...ha-choo! A cold! Nasty!
Since Pestilence is defined as "a fatal, usually fatal epidemic disease," we can expect our Winchester brothers to be challenged by Pestilence's smarts as he attempts to carry out a diabolical plan of bio-terrorism. Stock up on the Cold-Eeze!
Also complicating matters will be a character from Sam's Stanford years named Tyson, who is now working for a pharmaceutical company and has plans to capitalize on a disgusting flu virus by providing the vaccine.

Lost

From "Samm Levine Gets Lost"

Samm Levine’s been a Geek and a Basterd, and now he’s about to get Lost.
The former Freaks & Geeks star, who also appears as one of Brad Pitt’s troop of Jewish commandos in Quentin Tarantino’s Oscar-nominated "Inglourious Basterds," told TV Guide Magazine that he just wrapped a guest spot for Lost’s final season, a gig that came about thanks to his longtime friendship with series co-created Damon Lindelof.
“I got a paid 30-hour vacation to Hawaii, just like everyone wants,” said Levine, who kept us guessing as to exactly what he’ll be doing on the show. “I am the smoke monster and I lift the whole…no! I'm just making stuff up!
As a longtime Lost viewer, Levine also kept himself in the dark as to what exactly was going on when he appeared. “I wouldn't expose myself to any of the secrets because I'm also a fan and I don't want to get any spoilers.” He’s also been waiting a long time to get his invite to the island.
“I've been friends with Damon Lindelof, one of the producers of the show, for ten years,” he revealed. “I mean, six years ago when he started the show I sat in his living room and watched the screener of the pilot months before it aired, and I went, 'Oh my God, this is the greatest show ever! When are you going to get me on this show?' For six years he's been going, 'I'm going to write you something on the show.'”
“And so I was driving up to San Francisco a couple of weeks ago and I see a voicemail,” Levine continued, “and it's Damon and he says, 'Hey, man, me and Eddie [Kitsis] and Adam [Horowitz] wrote you a goofy thing. It's a one-scener but we wrote it just for you. Let me know if you want to do it.' I called him back and left him a message. I said, 'I don't care if it's one line. Of course I want to do it! It's the best show on TV!' Then just a couple of hours later I hear from the AD department confirming my flight.”
Levine said he’s enjoyed watching the impact of Lost’s huge following on his pal. “It's been quite a treat seeing Damon have this success because I used to hang out with him when he lived in a crappy one bedroom apartment in Hollywood, and then I watched him go from that to a small house to a bigger house to a really nice house.”
Their friendship also resulted in one extra special perk for the actor – regular guidance when it comes to the labyrinthine Lost mythology. “If I ever watched an episode and I wasn't quite sure of something, I'd just send him an email the next day going, 'What exactly does that mean?' He would go, 'It's from that thing four episodes ago. Now leave me alone.'”

Lost

Excerpts from "Lost Redux: Ummm...Did We Just Find Out What This Whole Show Is About?"

Will Sawyer Stay With Fake Locke? Or will he go back where he's "destined," on Team Jacob? I asked Josh Holloway himself whether his character is ultimately good or evil in the end, and he tells me: "Sawyer is both. He is good and evil. He walked most of his life towards evil, but now he more comfortably walks toward good. But he can always cross the line. It's a very interesting place to play this season, because of the loss of Juliet and the anger, frustration, sadness that's here has brought him back to his original personality of being angry at the world and keeping everyone at a distance." Still, I'm hearing rumblings from reliable sources that Sawyer probably will not be on the dark side of it all at the very end. Phew.

The Flash-Sideways Losties Will Start Getting Some Memories: You didn't think the "Safe 815"-ers would be left adrift forever without any consciousness of what's happened on the Island, did you? They all belong there, after all.

Casting Note: Sheila Kelley (the creator of celebrity strip workout S Factor and wife of Richard Schiff) was originally slated to appear in episodes eight, 10 and 11 of Lost's final season, but despite being—spoiler alert!—killed off at the end of that initial run, she's returning to the show. An insider tells us, "Sheila's role has been extended—she's doing at least one more episode than originally planned, maybe more. Her role was changed last minute. She flew to Hawaii again last week to film the added episode." So is she the zombie? Kidding.

90210

From "'90210': You Ask, I Answer questions on what's to come"

Since Jennie Garth has said she's not on "90210" anymore, does that mean we won't see Kelly ever again? -Jessie

No, actually, I know for sure that Jennie will appear in at least one more episode scheduled for early next month. Rob Estes, who is also exiting the show, will be around for the remainder of the season though.

Will Naomi's evil sister be back on "90210" or are we finally rid of her now that she's been exposed? -PK

Oh no. We have not seen the last of Jen (Sara Foster). She'll most certainly be back and hiding something new. Something big.

Give me some good Liam gossip! -Kate

His biological dad is going to swing into town and set some drama in motion.

Any "90210" scoop? -Perry

New couple alert. Two West Bev students -- both of whom were way into other characters last we saw them -- will start seeing each other when the show returns.

Lost

From "'Lost' exclusive: Maggie Grace, a.k.a. Shannon, returns this season"

Maggie Grace, who played Shannon on Lost, will return to the ABC drama later this season, executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse confirmed to EW.com. “We’re really excited about having her back on the show,” says Cuse, “and we have a good story for her.” The producers would not specify how many episodes she would appear in. An original cast member, Grace exited the show in season 2 when her character — the spoiled stepsister of Boone — was killed off, though she did resurface in a season 3 episode. Harold Perrineau, Cynthia Watros, and Rebecca Mader are among the other dearly departed who will guest-star in Lost’s sixth and final season.

Supernatural

It's not spoilers per se, but Erik Kirpe is leaving Supernatural at the end of the show. This means potential changes...

Desperate Housewives

From "Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova to Guest on Desperate Housewives"

Watch out, Wisteria Lane.

Project Runway host Heidi Klum and former America's Next Top Model judge Paulina Porizkova have signed on to guest-star in an episode of Desperate Housewives, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Klum and Porizkova will play themselves in an episode slated to air in March. The pair will share scenes with Eva Longoria Parker and Drea de Matteo, a rep for the ABC series confirms.

Desperate Housewives

Excerpt from "'Desperate Housewives' exclusive: Searching for a new 'Edie'"

We know many of you "Desperate Housewives" fans have missed the lovable trampy-ness of Nicollette Sheridan's Edie Britt character on Wisteria Lane.

If you do, we have great news: The show's producers miss her energy, too.

Executive producer Bob Daily told Zap2it exclusively that the show is currently searching for a new "Edie" type to kick up dust in Fairview.

"We agree that [Edie] was a great person to have on The Lane," Daily says. "The sort of vixen troublemaker. That's a great person to have on a television show."

For now, the new vixen will stir up trouble short term this year and the producers are considering making the character a recurring part of next season.

So, what kind of actress are they looking for? Daily says she'll definitely not be a "Nicollette clone."

"I think Nicollette was so great as that sort of blonde bombshell," Daily explains. "I think we'd probably not go in that direction again just because we've had that."

Ugly Betty

From "'Ugly Betty' exclusive: Kathy Najimy braces for historic role"

Kathy Najimy is about to sink her teeth into a piece of Ugly Betty history.

The funny lady has been tapped to play the orthodontist tasked with removing Betty’s trademark braces, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Najimy succeeds Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played Betty’s original metal specialist in season 1 (and who returned briefly last month).

Najimy will also play a pivotal role in the episode’s It’s a Wonderful Life-esque fantasy subplot. Per an Ugly insider, her character will serve as the guardian angel who shows Betty what life would have been like had she been blessed with perfect choppers.

Najimy’s episode is slated to air on March 24, three weeks before the show’s series finale.

Desperate Housewives

Excerpts from "'Desperate Housewives': You Ask, I Answer"

Loved the stuff with Lynette and Tom in therapy because the show is finally acknowledging what a beyotch Lynette can be. I like her better when she takes responsibility for it. But anyway, what else is coming up for them? -Mari

"Desperate Housewives" executive producer Bob Daily told Zap2it exclusively that Lynette and Tom's kid Preston is going to come back from Europe with a girl whom Lynette does not approve of. I did a little digging and found out what the deal is: Apparently the chick is Russian, about 10 years older than Preston and a serious gold digger. And the claws will really come out when Preston asks Lynette for her grandmother's engagement ring.

Are Gaby and Carlos going to be the ones to discover The Bolen family secrets? -Robert

Gaby's main concern regarding the Bolen's is her neice Ana. Because she knows the Bolens are trouble, she's going to do her best to get Ana away from Danny. And if that means calling in a favor with her former NYC modeling agent and setting Ana up with an apartment in the city, she just may have to do it. Thing is, Danny's definitely fallen for Ana and may disappear from the Lane right around the same time as Ana leaves.

Any scoop on the "Desperate Housewives" mystery? What is the deal with Angie Bolen? -P

We'll learn a bit more when Gaby and Angie go into New York to look for Danny. Actually, Danny will too. Turns out there's something major that Angie's been keeping from her son all this time...

Bones

Excerpt from "This Just In: Ugly Betty's Bride Reveals Herself"

Bones: According to show runner Hart Hanson, there's also going to be a big season-ending wedding on Bones this year. He says, "One of the four women in our cast will be getting married." Who's your guess?

Ugly Betty

Excerpt from "This Just In: Ugly Betty's Bride Reveals Herself"

Ugly Betty: Hooray for happy endings! Our favorite Ugly Betty gal, Ana Ortiz, has outed herself as the character who will be getting married at season's end. When Disney's D23 asked what's to come for Hilda, Ana said, "I think there's going to be a wedding...That's exciting. I can't wait to see what that entails. Hopefully since it's our last season, they'll really pull out the stops and give her a really nice wedding. We'll see!"

Gossip Girl

Excerpt from "This Just In: The Office Talks Up Pam and Jim's Baby"

• Gossip Girl: Josh Schwartz handed his Twitter over to fellow Gossip Girl exec producer Stephanie Savage, and she revealed that there's a lot for fans to love about the upcoming Chuck-Blair storyline: "SS: 'They are in stories together every episode for the rest of the season.' It's the most emotional stories they have done." Awww...

Lost

Excerpt from "Mega Buzz: Scoop on Lost, Bones, Ugly Betty and More!"

What the heck was Desmond doing on that plane? Any idea where the Lost powers that be are going with this? — Nora

MICKEY: I have some idea. If you'll recall, our friend Des has certain abilities that can supersede the time-space continuum. Is he really on that plane? When we pumped Henry Ian Cusick for scoop at the premiere in Hawaii, he would only say that off the island, Desmond is not happy. "The motivation has always been to get to Penny, and now he's got something slightly different. It's not about him, he's being more selfless. He's trying to help everyone," Cusick says.

Gossip Girl

Excerpts from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'Glee,' 'Grey's,' 'Chuck,' 'House,' and more!"

Question: How about some scoop about Gossip Girl that doesn’t have to do with Blair and Chuck? I want to know what’s going to happen with the gorgeous coupling of Nate and Serena! —Ann

Ausiello: Sounds like lots of crazy sex is going to happen. Exec producer Josh Schwartz teased via Twitter yesterday that the pair will be getting it on “in the closet, on the kitchen floor… 9 1/2 Weeks in 9 1/2 seconds.” And in case you missed it, here’s the new (and somewhat) spoilery GG trailer.

24

Excerpts from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'Glee,' 'Grey's,' 'Chuck,' 'House,' and more!"

Question: It’s time for a 24 spoiler. Get it? —Jonathan

Ausiello: I get it! As you no doubt saw in the previews for next week’s episode, Jack finds himself on the receiving end of yet another brutal interrogation. But this one may be worth sitting through, if only to witness the shocking (literally) conclusion.

Chuck

Excerpts from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'Glee,' 'Grey's,' 'Chuck,' 'House,' and more!"

Question: These Chuck ’shippers are driving me crazy with their negativity after “Chuck Versus the Mask.” Can you give them something positive in regards to Chuck/Sarah that will get them to retract their claws? Please help! —Jason

Ausiello: This mini Q&A I conducted with exec producers Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak via e-mail shortly after Monday’s episode should do the trick…

Q: Did you anticipate that the episode would elicit this kind of reaction?

SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: We knew it was going to cause a bit of angst in some viewers. We didn’t expect this level certainly, though we are appreciative that our fans are this invested in the characters. One thing we didn’t anticipate when we made this episode was that it would be the last episode before a three-week hiatus.

Q: Why did you decide to have both Chuck and Sarah embark on new romances (with Hannah and Shaw, respectively) in the same episode?

SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: Because we are masochists. We kid, we kid. It happens sometimes in life. If you see one person moving on, it can spur you to move on as well. But we want to stress, Chuck and Sarah are not emotionally in the same place at the end of this episode.

Q: Which of the two relationships poses the bigger threat to Chuck and Sarah?

SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: There are things far greater than a relationship that threaten Chuck and Sarah… Stay tuned.

Q: Can you offer any hope to Chuck/Sarah fans?

SCHWARTZ AND FEDAK: As we’ve said before, [Monday's episode] was Chapter 7 of 19 of this season. We love and appreciate our fans. We know our fans are why we’re back this season. But we need them to trust us to tell the most emotionally satisfying story possible. This has been mapped out from the start, and we always knew telling this portion of the story would be difficult for some. But we need people to come to back to the show March 1st — now more than ever — and we think if they do take this journey with us, they will see what we had planned the whole time. This is part of a bigger story than just “will they or won’t they.”

It’s worth pointing out that not everyone was disgusted by Monday’s turn of events…

Question: I absolutely love Kristin Kreuk as Hannah on Chuck. Any idea how many more episodes she will be in this season? —Jeremy

Ausiello: Just one. Schwartz and Fedak confirmed that Kreuk’s arc will conclude on March 1. Meanwhile, Brandon Routh’s stay has been extended yet again, although Team um… Schwedak (?) wouldn’t provide an updated episode count.

Question: Any chance the name of Christopher Lloyd’s shrink on Chuck is Doc Brown? Also, does his episode have a title? —Jeremy

Ausiello: His character’s name is not Doc Brown. And the episode is called “Chuck Versus the Tooth.”

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpts from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'Glee,' 'Grey's,' 'Chuck,' 'House,' and more!"

Question: I know a lot of people are ready for their relationship to be over, but I need to know: Are Little Grey and Sloan dunzo on Grey’s Anatomy? Or do they still have a chance? —Julie

Ausiello: It looks like the relationship has been pronounced dead, or at least it’s in a coma. “We’re done,” Eric Dane told us at Monday’s Valentine’s Day premiere. “At least we’re done for now. Mark is stubborn and I think he was really shocked and hurt by her and he isn’t going to let that go very easily.” As for Mark’s surprise progeny, whose arrival put both parties on edge, “I don’t know if we will see the daughter again. Addison may have talked her into adoption for all I know.”

Question: Anything else on Grey’s Anatomy? —Chris

Ausiello: Just this casting scoopbit: Sara Gilbert will play a patient in an episode slated to air in March or April. And for the record, this is a different patient than the one Gilbert played on Private Practice way back when.

Lost

Excerpts from "Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on 'Lost,' 'Glee,' 'Grey's,' 'Chuck,' 'House,' and more!"

Question: You’re blaming the late arrival of Ask Ausiello on the blizzard? Lame. But I’ll forgive you if you give me a really juicy Lost spoiler. —Jesse

Ausiello: Would you believe me if I told you my laptop got stuck in a 5-foot snowdrift? No? Okay, I’ll think of something else. In the meantime, here’s your juicy Lost spoiler: Someone has a kid in their flash-sideways. Guesses? Head to the comments!

Question: What can you tell me about Libby’s Lost return? —Joe

Ausiello: I can’t tell you very much. Cynthia Watros, however, describes her onscreen reunion with Jorge Garcia as “so sweet and honest. And I think, hopefully, when people see our scenes that they’ll get that feeling, too. [Libby and Hurley] are so incredibly real with each other. I was really grateful that I got to play those scenes and Libby got to sort of express herself in ways that she hasn’t been able to.”

Lost

Excerpts from "Lost Redux: Emilie De Ravin Dishes on "Feral Claire," and Insiders Reveal What's Next!"

The Island Is Being Divided: Insiders tell me that the Losties we have known and loved since the beginning of the series will be divided into two camps as the final season goes on: Good (presumably Jacob's followers) and Evil (presumably the Man in Black's followers). It would seem that those who are "infected" are on the side of MIB, but I can't help but wonder if Dogen (Hiroyuki Sanada) is not what he seems. We just don't know yet.

The List Is Coming Back: In a big way.

Bones

From "'Bones' exclusive: Rena Sofer makes a play for Booth!"

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Rena Sofer is joining the cast of Bones as a potentially recurring love interest for — don’t shoot the messenger! — Booth.
The former General Hospital Emmy winner — who’s currently recurring on NCIS as a (possibly romantic) foil for Mark Harmon’s Gibbs — will be playing Dr. Catherine Klein, a marine biologist with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration who has been called into the Jeffersonian after finding human remains inside a dead tiger shark. Sparks fly between her and Booth, and the two agree to go on a date.

Grey's Anatomy

Excerpt from "Grey's Anatomy Sneak Peeks: Slutty Mark Hits On Blond Lexie!"

**Note: This is for the February 11 episode **

Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) is a dirty dog! [...] His new granddaddy gig isn't stopping him from hitting on the pretty new blond doctor. Unlucky for him, then, that the pretty new blond doc is none other than his ex-girlfriend Lexie (Chyler Leigh)!
Bailey's (Chandra Wilson) burgeoning romance, McDreamy's (Patrick Dempsey) new burden as chief of surgery, Little Sloan's (Leven Rambin) secret and the ongoing drama between Teddy (Kim Raver) and Owen (Kevin McKidd)...

Chuck

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Will Sawyer Forget About Juliet and Reunite With Kate on Lost?"

Melinda in Pittsburgh: Good Day, Kristin! Any word on if Kristin Kreuk will be sticking around on Chuck?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Kristin is only set to appear on four episodes of Chuck, which means there are just two left with the adorable Hannah. The newest Nerd Herder pops up again tonight and wraps up her gig on March 1.

Gossip Girl

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Will Sawyer Forget About Juliet and Reunite With Kate on Lost?"

Bianca in Fla.: OMG OMG OMG KRISTIN! I'm sending this last-minute message in hopes that you can completely make my week and give us spoilers on who else is getting married on Gossip Girl?!? (Possibly Chuck and Blair?!) There were set pictures of the cast filming inside a church today, with 150 extras! Seems it would point to a big wedding—and since Dorota's wedding has already been filmed—who else is it?! Hints please! Thanks!

Sorry, my dear. There are no big weddings or funerals coming up on Gossip Girl (other than Dorota's modest nuptials, obviously). The set pics probably captured one of the show's many upcoming party shoots. Lots of parties to come, but no church-centric life milestones for our favorite Upper East Siders.

Lost

Excerpt from "Spoiler Chat: Will Sawyer Forget About Juliet and Reunite With Kate on Lost?"

Rachel in New York: Any Sawyer and Kate scoop on Lost?

Tomorrow night on Lost Sawyer and Kate will share a beautiful and heart-wrenching scene at the end of a dock, and then another one inside of a house that might turn some Skaters into Sulieters. She sees how deep his feelings for Juliet really go, and they go very deep. (Hint: He has a ring.)

Lily in England: So glad Lost is back! Do you have any dish about my favorite characters, Jack, Sayid or Hurley?

Well, let's see: In this next ep, Jack tries to kill himself. (Sorta. And perhaps not intentionally.) And speaking of death and self-destruction, Rousseau and "the infection" come back into play. As I mentioned in the previous Redux, the final 10 or so minutes of this week's Lost are not to be missed.

Bett in Roswell, N.M.: Scoop me some Lost!

In this week's flash-sideways, Kate and Claire spend more time together and we see that Kate may be destined to be a part of Aaron's life regardless of whether they crashed on the island, and someone else might have the same destiny. Keep your eyes peeled for the surprise return of an old frenemy!

Lost

Excerpts from "Lost's Nestor Carbonell on Season 6's Power Struggle"

TVGuide.com: Have executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse at least explained to you why Richard doesn't age?

Carbonell: Yes. I knew at some point that they were going to answer some of the bigger questions, I just didn't know when. We have gotten to that point where there is an episode that deals with the origins of Richard Alpert and the bigger questions about his character, as well as bigger questions about the island and the mythology of it. It's an episode that reveals a lot. After three years playing this character, I was floored when I got the script and I was so excited to actually get to do the episode. They wrote a really tremendous script.

TVGuide.com: Is there a possibility that there are teams: Team Jacob vs. Team Man in Black? Would Richard lean one way or another?

Carbonell: There are some amazing twists this season. You're going to see elements of characters that I never thought I'd play for my character and I think others didn't expect to play them in their own characters. There are going to be emotional highs and lows for people that you've never seen. With respect to alliances, there's going to be a lot of movement and fluctuations. There will be loyalty, but there's going to be a lot of shifting and power struggle, which is always at play. Everyone's mettle is tested in this final season. It's the payoff season where all of those loose ends, or most of them, will be tied. A lot of those big conflicts will be resolved.

General spoilers:
  • 12/13/09 - An ABC spokesperson confirms that there is no deal in place for Maggie Grace to return to Lost at this time. [...] I know most of you have heard about the "alt Lost " this season, and so have I. But I'm also told that the thing that I'm pretty sure needs to happen for "alt Lost " to happen does not happen. [...] "[Rose] and Jack will be reunited, and this time it will feel so good!" [...] We already know that Rebecca Mader (Charlotte) is back on Lost in some capacity this season, but what's the real deal behind her resurrection? "I can't say," she tells us with a grin. And just why not? "Because it's really, really, really, really, really, really exciting and I don't want to ruin it. It's too good to say." (Yes, she really said really that many times!) And on that note, this is the most revealing thing we were able to get out of her: "It's going to blow people's heads off." Source: Kristin on E!Online

You already have a few bits of this but here goes. At the school, Alex (Tania Raymonde) is actually a student at this school where Ben is a teacher. She is still "close" to Ben. Also spotted at the school are both, boom boom, Doc Arzt and Rose! No sign of Bernard. One of the new guests that you posted, William Atherton, was on the set. He is actually the Principle of the school, however I'll leave you with this cryptic snippet. Although he is the principle, that may not actually be his only role! Locke and Ben both work at the School. Source: Lost Spoilers
  • 11/01/09 - [Carlton] Cuse tweeted a clue for Lost fans to figure out. "Damon and I are die hard fans of this impeckable actor who keeps the barr high and just signed to guest star on the show. Life is good!" The misspellings were clues leading to the name... William Atherton. In order of the clues: Atherton was in both Die Hard and Die Hard 2, his character's name in Ghost Busters was Walter Peck, on Desperate Housewives he played Dr. Barr and the 62-year-old actor was also Charlie Crews' nemesis on Life. • 11/01/09 - On the Island, Locke is a true man-about-town... er jungle. Not only is he seen reuniting with a number the original Losties, including the badass, rifle-toting Claire, but he even finds the time to get stabbed by a genuine Iraqi. Source: Lost Spoilers

  • 08/30/09 - Set report from a fan: When we arrived, Terry O'Quinn (Locke) was the only main actor working, and he was laying in the sand. likely to get a close up for his body. Then, as he was replaced by a stand-in (lie-in?), Yunjun Kim (Sun) and Nestor Carbonell (Richard) arrived on set with other actors and extras. The next scene was of Not-Locke and Richard descending from the temple. The assembled Others, obviously suspicious of Not-Locke, raise their guns as Not-Locke steps up to confront Richard. After O'Quinn rehearsed some moves with Carbonell's stand-in, the last scene we watched was the most intense. Not-Locke beats the crap out of Richard. After Richard is taken down, Not-Locke looks across the faces of everyone watching. He waves his finger and says, "I'm very disappointed in all of you." Source: The Transmission
  • 08/09/09 - It might be a busy season for Grunberg, who has also been approached about appearing on Lost. The actor, who played pilot Seth Norris of Oceanic flight 815 in the very first episode, got a call about coming back for the last season of the hit ABC show. Grunberg is totally game for anything the Lost producers can cook up for him, but he has no idea what they are planning. "That's literally where my call ended," he says. Norris didn't survive the island, but as more of Lost's characters who met the grim reaper are signing on to appear one last time, it would only be appropriate to bring back the man who flew them to the island in the first place. "If NBC will allow it," Grunberg says. "I will go back." Source: TV Guide Magazine
  • 08/03/09 - We won't see much DHARMA in Season 6. Jacob has NOT appeared as another character on the show. Source: Lost Spoilers
  • 08/02/09 - Season six of Lost will be reminiscent of season one in that there will be a lot of running through the jungle and emotional development for the characters. The marketing graphic for Lost season six included all our favorite characters (heralding the return of many of them) but the important thing is that the last character added to the animation was Locke, and he was very obviously facing backward, while all the other characters were facing forward. Ahhh, Unlocke! According to Carlton [Cuse] the time-travel season is over and the flash-forward season is over and they're moving on to something altogether different for season six. According to Josh Holloway in the press room, Sawyer will be destroyed by the tragedy of Juliet, pushing him back towards his original, more "salty" character. He'll still carry around season' five's character growth, but he'll be rejecting it. [...] The extensive backstory of Richard Alpert will be explored in season six. [...] As we learned earlier this summer, Elizabeth Mitchell will appear on Lost in season six. According to Damon, her survival is contigent upon Jack's plan working. Jeremy Davies will appear as Daniel Faraday in Lost season six. [...] According to a [fake] clip from America's Most Wanted, Kate Austen did not in fact kill her stepfather in an explosion, but she killed his employee, a plumber's assistant, instead. Have we wandered into alternate-timeline territory? And could that timeline possibly start before the crash of Oceanic 815? Two other videos that hinted at an alternate timeline were Mr. Cluck's (starring CEO Hugo Reyes) and an Oceanic Airlines commercial that said they've never had a crash... [... Dominic Monaghan] is set to appear in three episodes in season six. Source: Kristin on E!Online
  • 08/02/09 - [Ian] Somehalder told EW exclusively that Lost producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse only told him half an hour before the Vampire Diaries panel that he will be coming back next season. "It's not clear yet" when it'll happen but "it'll be very soon." Somerhalder said he wasn't necessarily surprised at the development, because he had been talking to the producers for some time about returning. "It's just a matter of timing and getting me down there," says Somerhalder. Source: The Ausiello Files
  • 08/02/09 - Lost's Nestor Carbonell will finally be a series regular next season. "I'm moving my whole family to Hawaii next week," Nestor tells me. "This whole time I've been flying back and forth, but now I'll be living on the island with the others. They tell me I'll be in 16 of the 18 episodes." Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof say his backstory will take a significant time to reveal. Adds the actor: "Obviously Richard doesn't age, so I'm most curious to know how old he is and if he's in fact pulling the strings." Source: Keck's Exclusives
  • 08/02/09 - The return of familiar faces - including the decidedly dead and presumed dead - will also come into play, with both Jeremy Davies and Elizabeth Mitchell set to reprise their roles as Faraday and Juliet. And based on the dramatic timing of Dominic Monaghan's last-moment arrival on the dais [at Comic-Con], Charlie would seem a safe bet to (somehow) resurface as well. And the encores might not stop there. "There's a good chance you'll be seeing many characters you haven't seen since the first season," said [Damon] Lindelof. Some tropes will be absent from Season 6. Time-travel is so yesterday, the producers indicated, and flashbacks/forwards are long gone. Instead, Lindelof said, "We're going to do something different" to tell the final 18 hours' worth of story. Source: TV Guide Online
  • 06/14/09 - Team Darlton is checking the availability of several MVPs [from past seasons to appear in the series final season. ...] After sitting out last season, [Emilie] de Ravin will return as a full-time series regular for Lost's sixth and final season, Team Darlton confirms. "Damon and I are very excited to bring Claire back to the show," says Carlton Cuse, "and even more excited for people to experience just how she will return." Source: The Ausiello Files
  • 06/14/09 - "Like, a third of the way in to the season, I would guess we are going to settle into one time frame, and it will be very linear-no more flashbacks, nothing. It will be on the Island and sort of a final conflict to the end," said [Matthew] Fox. He assured fans that all the crazy storylines introduced in earlier seasons will be resolved and that the conflict between Jack and Locke "will come head to head" this season, but he wouldn't divulge more than that. When asked what would happen if he did, he said, "Some guys would pull up outside this building in a white van and masks, and I'd never be seen again." Source: Kristin on E!Online
  • 06/14/09 - Lost masterminds Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have been dropping hints about how the show will end next spring. Among the mysteries unravelled in the very last episode will be the significance of the four-toed statue, what the Smoke Monster really is and who the skeletons in the cave were. [...] Says Cuse: "The end of the show will be a combination of trying to answer mysteries the audience still cares about, such as the statue and the Smoke Monster. We'll also be answering the skeletons in the cave question. We will answer the questions we feel are important and central to the plot. At the same time we will be trying to tell redemption stories about the characters. These characters do indeed have a destiny." Source: Sunday Mercury
  • 05/27/09 - [Elizabeth Mitchell] will not be returning to Lost as a series regular. [...] Multiple sources confirm that the actress is expected to appear in an unspecified number of episodes next season, so it's entirely possible Juliet survived Jughead and her absence will be explained in another way. Source: The Ausiello Files
  • 05/08/09 - Damon [Lindelof] said that when the show ends, "All of the character resolutions will be very defined. There is going to be no cut to black. The show for me and Carlton Cuse and J.J. Abrams and all the people writing it-it's not about the Island. The Island is where it takes place. It's about this group of people who crashed on the Island on Sept. 22, 2004 and how they influenced the history of the Island in some ways and had a very significant and pivotal role to play there. You're going to see that role play out, and their fates will all be resolved by the end of the series- that's the story that we're telling. In terms of every little bit of minutiae about the Island itself...There will be questions left unanswered after the show ends." Libby's story will not be wrapped up on the show. Said Damon, "I have learned that if you kill someone off the show, they are less likely to cooperate with you." Basically, Cynthia Watros is busy until further notice, and they can't explain Libby without her, at least not in any way that shows her story rather than annoyingly tells her story. What's the takeaway for us fans? Next time you've got Damon cornered, don't waste your breath asking about Libby. Instead, bust his chops about another very important blonde: Claire! Where is that little minx, anyway? Source: Kristin on E!Online
  • 07/12/08 - John Terry (Christian) and Alan Dale (Widmore) are in talks to return next season on a recurring basis. In the fine print of both their contracts, it states that Lost has the right to pick up series regular options on both actors for the show's sixth and final season. Source: The Ausiello Files
  • 05/03/07 - Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse were on the Drew and Mike radio show. They revealed that the smoke monster will not be explained until the end of the series. Source: The Tail Section
  • 05/01/07 - Lost Spoilers offers us a summary of the spoilers Cuse and Lindelof revealed in the latest podcast: They will be revisiting the psychic's predictions for Claire in the future as well as Walt's abilities. The Others' obsession with children and pregnancy goes beyond the inability to successfully bear children on the island. The Other's definitely have an interest in children with special abilities. That's why they took Walt. There are two factions of The Others and are in no relation to the hatches/stations. They will be getting back to the statue before the show ends. Source: Lost Podcasts
  • 02/12/06 - Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof reveal: Given everything else we have to tell, [Libby's story] is going to be a mystery that's going to have to get answered in year 4. There's really one significant missing piece to Libby's story. We saw in the season finale last year that she met with Desmond, she gave him his boat, and we know that her husband died — and then we know that subsequent to that, she spent some time in a mental institution, the same one as Hurley. The question the audience wants answered is, How did she get from A to B — from Desmond to the mental institution? We know the answer to that question, but the only way to tell that story is through another character's flashback, and that character would have to be another character on the show who is not among the beach dwellers. Source: Kristin on E!Online

  • 07/22/06 - Viewers will learn why Libby was in the asylum, and why the island has healing powers. Source: Sci Fi Wire
  • 05/14/06 - Damon Lindelof [reveals]: Libby's got this mysterious backstory, of which we've only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she's spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there... we have a master plan for how we're going to tell that story, but it's all posthumous. You'll start to learn Libby's moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we're not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead. Source: The Ausiello Report
